The Perfect Sunday

Today was just a perfect day. We woke up late and made breakfast as a family. Troy even made delicious omelets, which I never thought would happen in this lifetime. Troy, Talmage and I then crawled back in bed for a Sunday nap while Brooklyn and Brigham played. After our nap, we went to the Boston Scientific race in Phoenix and had a great time watching Troy race and eating smores by the warm fire. It was a great time with family and friends. What more can one ask for?

Sick

I am sick with a sinus infection, Brigham is coming down with croup, Brooklyn is coughing and Talmage has bronchiolitis, a horrible cough and has croup twice in the past week and a half. Needless to say I am not getting much sleep at night since Talmage is coughing all night. I am exhausted and want to call in sick, but when you are a mama that just isn't possible. I feel so bad for my kiddos when they are sick. I wish I could just make it all better. I have already been to the doctor 3 times in the past 4 days and I am taking Talmage back in tomorrow. No fun I tell you. And on top of all of that, I am getting ready for Blue and Gold dinner that is in 2 days and I still have a lot to do before it all comes together. I think Wednesday night I will sleep really well having that huge weight off my shoulders. Well I am off to bed so I can hopefully get a little sleep before Talmage wakes up needing to eat and get another breathing treatment. The life of a mother. I am trying to keep a positive attitude though because it could be so much worse. We are very blessed and we will all get better soon thanks to great medical care and a Heavenly Father that loves us.

Today was a great day and I am now absolutely exhausted. Brigham and I played outside this morning and exercised. Now that we started doing this in the mornings I don't think that he is going to let me stop. He loves playing soccer and wheelchair racing. I love spending time with him while working out. It definitely makes it more enjoyable to be running and playing with my little man. After working out he was ready for a nap even though it was only 9:30 so we climb up in my bed and listened to music on my ipod for a while. He was just too cute cuddled up in his Pooh Bear blankie with head phones in his ears. His smile is just so contagious.

After nap time we picked up Brooklyn from school early since it was a half day. She wanted to go to McDonald's to play so that is exactly what we did and she was so excited. I sure have fun spending time with my kids. I am really trying to remember that they are way more important than a clean house and will only be little for a short time.

After a delicious dinner we made their Valentine bags for their classes. Brigham's preschool party is tomorrow and Brooklyn's is on Friday. I really didn't want to do it because I was so tired, but I am glad that I did because the kids were so excited to give them to their friends. Their Valentine cards are just too cute with their pictures on them. Gotta love it.

Well, it is late now and like I said I am tired so off I go. It was a fun day!
